*Full Registration includes the right to register your dog's offspring with the AKC. It is also required to enter an AKC breed competition dog show.

**Limited Registration means that the dog is registered with the AKC, but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. This is also known as a pet home. A dog registered with an AKC Limited Registration is also not eligible to be entered in a breed competition in a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be entered in any other licensed or member event.

A nonrefundable deposit of $200 is required to hold your puppy. Deposits determine the order in which you choose your pup: 1st deposit gets first pick, 2nd deposit gets second pick, and so on. The deposit will be applied to your purchase price. Deposits are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to another individual. If the litter you place a deposit on does not produce the desired color or gender, the deposit can be transferred to another litter. If you are not able or refuse to fulfill your obligation as a buyer, you forfeit your deposit. All deposits expire two years from the date of payment if you have not followed through with your commitment. By placing a deposit you agree to these terms.

Silvermist Labrador Retrievers reserves the right to refuse to sell to a prospective buyer at any time without cause.

Deposits and payments can be made safely and securely through PayPal. We also accept cash or checks. However, the balance must be paid in full (checks must be cleared) before the puppy is picked up or delivered, for any method of payment. We can also accept credit cards via the Paypal Here card reader.

We welcome visitation appointments at our discretion. However, our priority is the physical health of our puppies, as well as the emotional stability of the new mother. Please note that there is NO access to the dogs' living quarters. Guests are welcome to meet all of our dogs, but to prevent the introduction of illness from outside sources, we will bring the parents and/or puppies to meet you in a designated area.  Puppy guests will be required to scrub in before handling the puppies.

We encourage you to pick up your new puppy here at Silvermist! You can visit with his or her parents and get a better sense of your puppy's heritage. Pups are released at 7-8 weeks if you are picking them up. However, as we know this is not always an option, we offer delivery or shipping after 8 weeks. If we meet you for pickup, a mileage fee will be added. When shipping, your pup can fly - after 8 weeks of age - from the Springfield-Branson National Airport to anywhere in the U.S. Shipping costs are usually around $350, but could be more depending on your location, and are to be paid by the buyer. This includes a new crate, health certificate, vet examination, ticket, and vaccinations. Every attempt will be made to ship on schedule, but please keep Mother Nature in mind when dealing with the weather extremes of summer or winter.

Many of our puppy parents ask about feeding their new family member. Silvermist feeds all of its dogs Eukanuba brand dog food. Our adults eat Eukanuba breed-specific Labrador Retriever Formula. As the puppies are weaned, they eat Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy Formula dry food and are supplemented with Eukanuba canned wet food for puppies.

All Silvermist Labrador parents are OFA, DM, and CNM tested, coat color typed, and DNA certified.

Your Silvermist puppy comes to you in the best of health to our knowledge. Your puppy has received routine care from a licensed veterinarian since birth. Dewclaws will be removed at three days old. Your pup will be wormed every two weeks starting at age two weeks. The first round of puppy vaccines will be administered at 5 weeks, and every two to three weeks thereafter. Our vet will perform a standard health exam before the pick-up or delivery of your pup. After pick-up or delivery, you must have the puppy vetted within three business days. Silvermist Labradors does not offer cash refunds of any kind. This health guarantee is for a replacement pup only, and applies only to life-threatening genetic diseases within one year of the date of birth. The replacement is limited to a pup of the same color and gender from the next available litter. Written notification submitted directly to Silvermist Labradors from your veterinarian is required. We reserve the right to have the puppy returned for examination by our veterinarian.

Buyers must print, read, and sign our Sales and Health Agreement before or at the time of pick-up or delivery.

You must register your puppy with the American Kennel Club (AKC) by four months of age. This paperwork will be included in your Puppy Folder. We also encourage you to use "Silvermist" as a prefix or suffix in your puppy's AKC registered name!
